Artist Statement

The relation between emotion, color and sound has been the main inspiration for my recent work.

Doing research on the history of VJing i discovered synesthestisia.* This scientific approach explaining the relation that the senses have to one another fascinates me.

 

My work is based on the ideas of creative synesthesia.* * 

Where I use mixed media to comunicate one same idea.

*  Synesthesia                    is a neurological condition where the senses are mixed. This is why some people can                                                         actually see sounds and music as particular colors and shapes.

 

 **  Creative synesthesia    is a concept introduces by Frans Evers meaning the use of multimedia in order to create                                                   an experience for multiple senses at the same time.
